Energetic Particle Forcing Datasets

 

 

CMIP7 forcing datasets are available for download from https://www.solarisheppa.kit.edu/75.php

 

They are broadly consistent with the recommendations in Funke et al., 2024, Geosci. Model Dev., 17, doi: 10.5194/gmd-17-1217-2024.

 

The medium energy electron fluxes are calculated from a parameterization that uses the Ap geomagnetic index as an input. The Ap used for CMIP7 is plotted below.
